Broadway in Austin will be back, and it will be worth the wait. Broadway in Austin presented by Texas Performing Arts plans to resume performances in December 2021 with the Austin return of HAMILTON.

The vast Bass Concert Hall Stage turns gallery as Texas Performing Arts presents Behind the Scenes: The Art of the Hollywood Backdrop. Visit mid-century Hollywood without leaving Austin through an up-close view of these Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio assets from February 11 through March 21. This first-ever public viewing of twelve historic Golden Age of film backdrops provides a look into the nearly lost art of hand-painted Hollywood motion picture scenic art.

Texas Performing Arts announced today Texas Mixtape, a curated series by Austin’s own composer and bandleader Graham Reynolds. The concert series features unusual combinations of Austin artists who are inspiring Reynolds right now. 

Texas Performing Arts and Fusebox Festival announce a collaboration to launch a new residency program for Austin-based performing artists. This partnership comes at a time both organizations believe there is vital work to do to ensure the performing arts industry has not only a future, but a substainable one.  The ultimate goal is to put resources directly in the hands of Austin artists.
