It takes an artist to remind us that there are other, more radical ways to think about what we eat and how we acquire it. 

There’s a new grocery store in town, but you can’t buy anything there. And you probably wouldn’t want to. Everything’s plastic.

Texas Performing Arts presents The Plastic Bag Store and Disney's The Lion King.

"The Plastic Bag Store" is the most delightfully outlandish art that you will see in Austin this year. Or most any year.

At grocery and retail stores, it's a main staple for getting your items home. Now one artist has taken plastic bags and created an art installation inviting us to contemplate the lasting legacy of toss-away packaging.

We caught up with Garth Fagan, who choreographed "The Lion King" when it was first on Broadway. He won a Tony Award for best choreography for the show in 1998. That same choreography is used in the touring production coming to Austin.

Disney's The Lion King is headed to Bass Concert Hall for Broadway in Austin, and the future king himself, Darian Sanders who plays Simba, is here to tell us more about the show.
