Apple iPhone Account Binding

Apple account binding is a new security feature that links your Texas Performing Arts (TPA) ticket account to your Apple ID, improving the security and convenience of your mobile tickets. It applies to the following tickets on Apple devices with iOS 16.4 or later:

  • Event tickets
  • Transferred tickets
  • Texas Inner Circle tickets
  • Bass Pass tickets

CHOOSE YOUR PRIMARY APPLE DEVICE CAREFULLY

The first person to add an event ticket from your Texas Performing Arts ticket account to Apple Wallet permanently binds that account to their Apple Account. All future tickets from that account must either be added to the same Apple Wallet or officially transferred.

ONLY USE MY ACCOUNT

To send a ticket to someone, use the ‘My Account’ transfer feature in your Texas Performing Arts ticket account. Sharing logins, forwarding TPA Digital Ticket Delivery emails, or using screenshots will not deliver a valid ticket.

FIRST TIME SETUP

When you add your first mobile event ticket to your Apple Wallet, Apple will prompt you to verify your Apple ID (using Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode). This creates a secure connection between your Texas Performing Arts ticket account and your iCloud account.

ONGOING EXPERIENCE

Once set up, future Texas Performing Arts tickets are automatically bound to your Apple Account. You don’t need to authenticate again unless you’re using a different device or there’s a security concern.

SHARING TICKETS

Always use the My Account transfer feature in your Texas Performing Arts account.

Sharing logins, screenshots, or emails with ticket links will result in invalid tickets. Everyone who needs a ticket on their Apple device must set up a Texas Performing Arts ticket account. If they already have a TPA account, they can add it to their Apple Wallet to accept a transferred ticket.

VISUAL INDICATORS

Look for the blue “Hold near reader” icon on your ticket in Apple Wallet. This message confirms that your ticket is linked correctly and is ready to scan.

If you don’t see this icon:

  • Check that you’ve signed into the same Apple Account used when first adding tickets
  • Try removing and re-adding the ticket from Apple Wallet
  • Ensure you’re connected to wi-fi or cellular data

Apple Account Binding Guide to Secure Mobile Tickets

All Texas Performing Arts events utilize mobile tickets. To access your tickets:

  • STEP 1: Log in to Your Account
  • STEP 2: Download your mobile tickets to your digital wallet before you arrive.
  • STEP 3: Locate your event under “My Tickets” and tap “Add to Wallet” to download the tickets to your phone.
  • STEP 4: Display your mobile tickets at our contactless ticket scanners at the doors.

Note: Broadway in Austin subscription tickets, Patron Club passes, and Parking and Drink vouchers are excluded. These tickets are managed through the subscribers’ Broadway in Austin account or the BIA App.
