We’re proud to participate in the Broadway League’s National High School Musical Theatre Awards, also known as The Jimmy Awards (named after visionary theatrical producer Jimmy Nederlander). The awards celebrate outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools.
Each year, through the Austin’s Heller Awards for Young Artists program, two outstanding student performers are selected as Jimmy Award Nominees. These students join top students from over 55 other U.S. regional awards programs to perform on the Broadway stage in New York City. In addition to the awards ceremony, students participate in a ten-day professional training intensive with notable Broadway professionals.
The Jimmy Awards are presented by The Broadway League Foundation.
The 2026 Jimmy Award Nominees will be announced on May 6, 2026 at the Heller Awards for Young Artists Ceremony.
