The taiko is a traditional Japanese drum with limitless rhythmic possibilities. Kodo’s mission is to explore these possibilities, and in the process forge new directions for a vibrant living art form. For over forty years, the internationally acclaimed drumming ensemble Kodo has traveled the globe under the banner “One Earth.” With more than 7,500 performances in over 50 countries, Kodo is one of the more celebrated percussion groups of all time, uniting audiences through the resonant power of Japanese drumming.
