Join us for this three-day workshop, designed for High School Technical Theatre Teachers! Whether your skills are emerging, or you are looking to brush up and fine tune your craft, we will guide you through this hands-on training.
- Using carpentry/paint tools and techniques, you will work through a small build that can be used as a classroom project.
- Using the table saw, miter saw, pneumatic staplers, and drill driver you will build your own “Hollywood Table” which incorporates the foundational tools and techniques your students need to build most scenery.
- You will learn to prepare the surfaces for paint and apply two different paint techniques.
- Finally, you will work together to build and assemble a full-scale Hollywood style flat, and leg and cross-brace a stock platform.
- Lunch and parking validation is provided.
- CPE Credit will not be offered at this time.
