Accessibility

We want to make your visit to the Texas Performing Arts enjoyable and comfortable. Accessible seating is available at all our venues. If you require wheelchair accessibility or have other special seating concerns, please notify the Box Office at the time of your ticket purchase.

PARKING

Special parking is available for drivers who have Department of Public Safety handicapped parking permits or plates. Accessible parking is denoted on the map to your right with the red lines.

Please click on the blue markers to bring up the name of the venue.

FOR BASS CONCERT HALL, McCULLOUGH THEATRE & BATES RECITAL HALL:
Accessible parking is available on the west side of Robert Dedman Drive (aka East Campus Drive), just north of 23rd Street. Please be advised that when Event Parking Rates are in effect for performances at Bass, the $7 charge for all other designated parking areas also applies to these Accessible parking spaces.

If you are a person with a disability there are a few options for getting from your vehicle into our building. Please be sure that you are traveling with someone who can assist you in this process.

  • To travel the shortest and flattest distance from your car to our building, have your companion pull onto the lip of the plaza in front of Bass, along 23rd Street. This is a drop-off area for both persons with disabilities and valet parking. From here it is a straight shot across the plaza, with a ramp available if needed. The companion can then park the car in the ADA spaces along Robert Dedman/East Campus Drive, or any of our other designated parking locations and walk to the building.
  • If you choose not to be dropped off and would rather park first then come to our building, there are permanent Handicap Accessible parking spots along the West side of Robert Dedman/East Campus Drive, and additional spaces along Robert Dedman are converted to Accessible Parking during events at Bass Concert Hall and McCullough Theatre. To get into Bass from these parking spaces, follow the sidewalk along the West (Bass) side of Robert Dedman until you are just South of the McCullough Theatre. From there turn and follow the walkway that will lead you on a flat path to the Southeast lobby doors of Bass.

FOR HOGG MEMORIAL AUDITORIUM:
Accessible parking is available in front of the auditorium on Whitis and adjacent to the Flawn Academic Center on Inner Campus Drive.

FOR B. IDEN PAYNE & OSCAR G. BROCKETT THEATRES:
Accessible parking is available along San Jacinto, just north of 23rd Street.
