The nostalgic view of 1950's Americana is what brought this painting to Texas. The backdrop shows an idyllic Pennsylvania forested retreat, where love birds could steal away and memories of the American Dream made. The image is masterfully executed, with tiny, charming architectural details and individually illuminated windows. Often, window details were cut out of the muslin backdrops and replaced with silk to increase luminosity.
