Black Feminism Finds a Niche in Austin’s Alt Theatre Scene

In Lisa B. Thompson’s new play, Black Feminist Guide to the Human Body, the playwright and professor seeks a softer life for Black women as they age. Thompson is a 23/24 Texas Performing Arts resident artist, and the play will premiere during the Fusebox Festival at Austin's Vortex Theatre on April 12.
