ArtesAméricas performance

Chile’s TEATROCINEMA is an inventive and original theatre company who create an ingenious fusion of cinema and theatre. Their highly stylized staging is a seamless blend of live action and film projection – technical and theatrical wizardry. Texas Performing Arts presents the US premiere of TEATROCINEMA, performing Sin Sangre ( Without Blood ).

Sin Sangre is an adaptation of a novella by Italian author and playwright Alessandro Baricco, with all the darkness of film noir and tension of a 1960s B-movie thriller. It is a fast paced production combining intense dialogue and raw action with widescreen cinematic projection.

Presented in Spanish with English supertitles

“It was a mixture of visual languages, which turned the theater into an experience that marks a before and after. The risky bet to fuse theater and film, it worked perfectly.”
