Bill Cosby 77 Tour

Texas Performing Arts welcomes back one of America’s most beloved comedians of all time for an evening of insightful stand-up comedy. Bill Cosby has captivated generations of fans with his comedy routines, iconic albums, and best-selling books such as Fatherhood. His comedy transcends age, gender, and cultural barriers.

Perhaps Cosby’s greatest contribution to American entertainment and culture is The Cosby Show, about a close-knit, upper middle class black family. Cosby said his intent was to portray an American family. In 2013, Cosby’s first comedy special in 30 years, Bill Cosby: Far From Finished, debuted on Comedy Central, and he was recently signed by NBC to star in a new sitcom.

In Cosby’s current best seller, I Didn’t Ask to Be Born, But I’m Glad I Was, he talks about being a grandfather, his first love and more in his uniquely humorous and insightful manner. Cosby has received the Kennedy Center Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

“He is Everyman and also his own man…a witty American humorist in complete touch with the source of his material: himself.”
