AUSTIN, TX – Sherpa Concerts and Texas Performing Arts present the Austin return of Dream Theater, with special guest Trivium, Wednesday, October 26 in UT Austin’s Bass Concert Hall. Tickets go on sale Friday, August 12 at 10am at authorized outlets, which include the Bass Concert Hall ticket office, most H-E-B stores, and all Texas Box Office outlets, online at texasperformingarts.org, or by calling (512) 477-6060 or (800) 982-BEVO (2386).

Dream Theater, who were recently voted one of the top 10 Prog Rock bands of all time by RollingStone.com readers, are touring in support of their upcoming LP, A Dramatic Turn of Events (September 13th). The band will perform selections from A Dramatic Turn of Events, as well as classic, staples and fan favorites.

Labelmates Trivium will open the show, supporting their new album In Waves.

“We are all very pumped about the release of A Dramatic Turn of Events this September as well as the world tour we’ll embark upon in support of the album,” says Dream Theater guitarist John Petrucci. “Our first leg will bring us throughout North America where we’ll showcase songs from the new album along with tons of fan favorites and a brand new tour production unlike any other that we’ve done before. We’re equally excited to have our friends in Trivium join us as well. It’s sure to be an incredible tour. We’re looking forward to seeing all of our friends on the road this fall!”
