Banda Sinaloense el Recodo de Don Cruz Lizárraga better known as the Banda El Recodo was originally formed in Mazatlán, Sinaloa, México in 1938. Since the collective's fruition, Banda El Recodo has been directed by the Lizárraga family and was the first Mexican band to perform in the state of Hawaii. Banda El Recodo consists of seventeen members– two lead singers, four clarinetists, three trumpet players, a drummer, a tubist, three trombones, two alto horns (saxores), and a Tambora led by Luis Alfonso Lizárraga.

The Carlos Martínez-led Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán was originally conceived in 1897 by Gaspar Vargas. The Son Jaliscience music creators are some of the most respected musicians in the Latin community. With over fifty recordings and nine studio albums under their belt, the musical genius of Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán has been the soundtrack to multiple Mexican generations today and to come.

Now, Banda El Recodo y Mariachi Vargas De Tecalitlán will be partaking on a North American tour to perform to their beloved fanbase, including a stop at Bass Concert Hall on August 23.
